EXAMPLES OF QUALITATIVE RESEARCH PROPOSALS IN NURSING (2023)

Introduction:

Qualitative research is a type of research methodology that focuses on exploring and understanding the experiences, beliefs, attitudes and behaviors of individuals or groups. In the field of nursing, qualitative research is an essential tool that helps nurses understand patients' experiences, improve patient care, and develop new nursing practices. This article presents three examples of qualitative research proposals in nursing.

Example 1: The experience of elderly people with chronic pain

Title: Examining the experience of elderly people with chronic pain: a qualitative study

Example 2: Nurses' perspectives on pain management in palliative care

Title: Perspectives of nurses on pain management in palliative care: a qualitative study

However, there is limited research on nurses' perspectives on pain management in palliative care. The aim of this study is to examine nurses' perspectives on pain management in palliative care in order to identify barriers and factors for effective pain management.

Example 3: The experience of parents of children with Autistic Spectrum Disorder

Title: Examining the experiences of parents of children with autism spectrum disorder: a qualitative study

Introduction: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects communication, social interaction and behavior. Parents of children with ASD face major challenges in raising their children. However, little is known about the experiences of parents of children with ASD. This study aims to examine the experiences of parents of children with ASD to gain a better understanding of their needs and preferences.

Research questions:

What are the experiences of parents of children with ASD?
How does raising a child with ASD affect family dynamics?
What coping strategies do parents of children with ASD use?
What are the barriers to accessing health services for children with ASD?
